In Group A, Team Gaida started strong with a narrow 1-0 victory over Team Arna, but later faced a tough 2-5 loss against a dominant Team Bagh. Meanwhile, Team Arna bounced back from their first defeat with a solid 1-0 win over Team Bagh, keeping the group wide open.
Over in Group B, Team Ghoda began with a convincing 2-0 win against Team Barahsinghe but stumbled in their next match, falling 2-4 to Team Chituwa. However, the biggest surprise came in the final game when Barahsinghe edged out Chituwa 2-1, proving that every team in this group is capable of delivering an upset.
